Brendan is a Co-founder and CEO of Astraea, a machine learning / artificial intelligence SaaS platform for Geospatial AI. Astraea helps customers extract hidden insights from satellite imagery and other geospatial data. In addition to Astraea, Brendan is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce where he teaches Venture Investing and Entrepreneurial Finance. He is an Unreasonable Impact Fellow and also a Board member at Intelligent Growth Solutions, the global leader in vertical farming /controlled environment agriculture technology. Prior to Astraea, Brendan co-founded Everactive, a leading Industrial IoT start-up which he spun out of UVA and the University of Michigan with his two co-founding Professors. Brendan spent 15 years as an early-stage venture investor. He was a partner at Vision Capital, an early stage venture firm based in Silicon Valley investing both in Europe and the US as well as a General Partner at Northface Ventures, based in Scotland. Brendan holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Virginia.
